The Fayton Concept Car is Inspired by the Horse-Drawn Buggy

— January 28, 2012 — Autos
The horse-drawn buggies of the early 19th century served as the primary source of inspiration for the Fayton concept car. Designer Utkan Kiziltug's EV has an atypical design with carriage-like wheels, a transparent body and a sunroof designed to look like a horse's mane.

The body of the Fayton concept car was designed to look like the phaeton horse-drawn buggy. The vehicle's wagon-like wheels and comfy, yet unconventional seating are the biggest ties this vehicle has with 19th century transportation. As mentioned, the sunroof is inspired by the mane of a horse with its four separate panels opening up to let light in and looking like a horse's hair in the process. While Kiziltug's design has a body that belongs in the past its engine and dashboard are as futuristic as they come.

The Nissan Panorama Optimizes the Passengers' Experience

— July 19, 2011 — Autos
Visibility is vitally important in vehicles that travel at dangerous speeds, but in many ways, the Nissan Panorama has been designed more with the passenger in mind.

The hybrid EV incorporates an unusually expansive system of windowing which comprises two upward-opening transparent doors. Offering expansive views out the sides and the roof of the automobile, the occupants of the car are afforded an enhanced experience of road travel.

When parked, however, Victor Romero's concept becomes all the more desirable. All four seats can be swiveled to face the center of the cabin where drinks and snacks can be had, and each can watch a beautiful sunset or a movie playing on the ceiling projector. The Nissan Panorama will encourage you to take the slow and scenic route every time.

The Daihatsu Concept Car is a Family's Convertible

— October 3, 2011 — Autos
The sensation of wind in your hair is overrated at 80 mph when long locks quickly become a wild whipping entanglement. The Daihatsu Concept Car offers the view that a convertible does without the intensity of the breeze.

Rasul Maksyutov developed this idea for a Daihatsu competition, aiming to question, consider and reinvent the conventions of designing and assembling a vehicle. Visibility to the outside is undoubtedly important for both safety and pleasure, so this model automobile optimizes for maximum transparency.

A lightweight but strong upper frame allows minimal interruption of the view outdoors, holding the clear glass in place around the entirety of the vehicle with a broad sunroof up above. The Daihatsu Concept Car increases the height of each windows so that even the youngsters in the back seat can appreciate the journey.

Alan Kravchenko's Peugeot Clear is an Open One-Seater

— May 15, 2009 — Autos
Ride in style with the Peugeot Clear by Alan Kravchenko. This concept car is meant solely for individual use and is only big enough to fit one person.

While small in size, the Peugeot Clear has great speed with its electrical motor, and it uses only a small amount of fuel.

With the Peugeot Clear's massive windows, no one will miss watching you drive down the street in your stylish one-seater automobile.

Implications - This tiny automobile may not suit families as it can fit very little luggage, but it's ideal for urban environments where the roads are narrow and cramped.
