UMS World Solar Challenge: The Transparent SUV

The site above has the link for students who would like to apply to join in the effort to participate in the World Solar Challenge. Our car will be called The Transparent SUV because that was the original intention.

Initially the intention was to restrict to sedan class cars because of the low ground clearance when travelling. When I discovered that the coefficient of drag of a high ground clearance, we may as well operate mostly at this high ground clearance.

The Transparent Car right from the beginning always require some forms of height adjustments and 4WD. These are the major requirements for an SUV. Since SUV is the best selling car in the world, it is better to start with an SUV rather than a sedan that is getting out of date.

Best Free CFD Tutorial: FreeCAD Openfoam CFD Workbench

I find watching this video boring but the links are userful and the linked tutorial very helpful.
