Android Auto vs Apple Car Play

Android Auto and Apple Carplay are just extensions of the phone to the car audio system. Better use a phone holder. More effective, convenient and much much cheaper. This is what I have been doing.

They are good for calling and navigating. My original Proton Exora GPS was no longer useable. The DVD player at the roof of the car has become dead weight.

People would rather watch movies on their phones. The lesson is not to provide functions that a phone can do in a car. Just a radio and bluetooth speakers are sufficient. Bluetooth speakers even come with a radio receiver. These bluetooth speakers even come with cables to connect to a stereo amplifier. So we just need to provide a stereo amplifier and speakers, for both inside and outside the car.

I find watching this video boring but the links are userful and the linked tutorial very helpful.
