Using Oven to Shape Acrylic

This is the result of bending without any outer mold. It is worse than using a hot air gun. What makes it worse is that I cannot place the mold at the bottom while heating.

I noticed that at 200 deg C, it is very soft and bubbles came out. It is very soft but some places are still hard. I used both up and down heating elements.

Using the aluminium food tray allowed the top part only. Using the wire tray, allowed both sides to be heated, but some places are still hard. The acrylic became as soft as rubber and can be stretched. In fact, its width has reduced so no longer cover the whole model.

The Acrylic became cold quickly so can only set one side only while the other sides can become deformed.

The next attempt will be to put the hot Acrylic on top of the model to see if gravity can help form the Acrylic. Then no need for an outer mold.
