How Elon Musk knocked Tesla’s ‘Full Self-Driving’ off course

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2023/03/19/elon-musk-tesla-driving/ How Elon Musk knocked Tesla’s ‘Full Self-Driving’ off course Tesla’s campaign to deliver a fully autonomous vehicle has suffered amid mounting safety concerns — and the boss’s Twitter distraction By  March 19, 2023 at 5:00 a.m. EDT Will Elon Musk ever fulfill his promise of 1 million robotaxis? (Illustration by Elena Lacey/The Washington Post; Jonathan Ernst/Reuters; iStock) SAN FRANCISCO — Long before he became “ Chief Twit ” of Twitter, Elon Musk had a different obsession: making Teslas drive themselves. The  technology  was expensive and, two years ago when the supply chain was falling apart, Musk became determined to bring down the cost. Tech is not your friend. We are. Sign up for The Tech Friend newsletter. He zeroed in on a target: the car radar sensors, which are designed to detect hazards at long ranges and prevent the vehicles from barreling into other cars in traffic. The sleek bodies of the cars a

Fork Lift Swappable Batteries

Excellent Australian technology. Better than Tesla Semi. More than twice larger than Tesla Semi. Battery charging time, 1 minit, and does not burden the electric grid. The World should adopt this Australian Technology. I designed my electric car to use swappable batteries but did not consider fork lift to swap batteries. A car is harder because the batteries are thin and low. https://youtu.be/9eYLtPSf7PY

The vision of open source Processors: RISC-V

Pairing TPMS sensors

Kemudian, tekan menu 6 kali untuknya, tapi aku punya perlu 2 kali saja.

Tesla Production Technologies 2023

https://youtu.be/a4TlRizMyFo Scott is good in production but Sandy is better. Tesla is not really that innovative but they learn fast and admit their mistakes. They are not afraid to copy others. Even toys. I am more an electronic engineer specialising in computer and telecommunications, with knowledge on silicon fabrication. As far as I am concerned, Tesla has not gone to the state of the art in electronics. Its infotainment is behind ps5. Its hardware computer is behind M1 chipsets and Mac books. It's motors behind Lucid but Tesla copies quickly. Cybertruck copies toys, bodyshells. It inspired me to design a big car using plastics. As mentioned by Scott, plastics do not need painting. I agree completely. For the minority, they can always wrap their cars. Painting is only for corrosion but not if we use aluminium and stainless steel. Young people should push technologies to the limits and go to first principles. Actually not that easy, even those in Tesla, even Elon are not pushin

Carpc project - light sensors

Image
http://pacmans-revenge.blogspot.com/2018/04/carpc-project-light-sensors.html?m=1   Sunday, April 15, 2018 Carpc project - light sensors I recently uploaded a new video to show my custom-made carpc based on a Raspberry Pi. In the video, I had to leave a lot of information out for the sake of runtime, so, I decided to write a little series of posts to explore thoughts and ideas about this project. This episode is about light sensors. Disclaimer (sort of): Be aware that this post is not self-contained. If you haven't seen the video , you probably won't get much out of this reading. Also, this is not a tutorial on how to build a carpc like the one I made. For that, I'd need much more time and space. I just want to document the thought process behind a few hardware and software choices, share some techno-ramblings, and provide you with some links to get you started using the components I used. Have you ever modified your car with custom electron

Carpc project - FM transmitter

Image
http://pacmans-revenge.blogspot.com/2018/04/carpc-project-fm-transmitter.html?m=1    Kradion uses an FM transmitter to send audio to his car radio instead of using the auxiliary input of the radio. It may be better for the Raspberry Pi to replace the car radio entirely by replacing it with a FM receiver and amplifier. However, using 2 systems for audio entertainment may be a good idea. Tesla cars do not have any AM receiver at all, only FM radio because AM radio is disturbed by electric motors. A simple DIN Car radio can be very cheap.
