Universal Power Windows and Doors

With the superiority of the Bowden Power Windows it is surprising that there is no universal power windows. Instead a Double Bowden is introduced. Proton Wira uses the Bowden Power Windows for both front and rear windows. Unfortunately, the rear power windows is different from the front one. Which means that a new power windows regulator need to be designed for the rear windows, instead of designing the rear door to accommodate the front power windows. It increases cost with little advantage to show for it. The increase in cost may be small, but it all adds up. Sandy Munro would be unhappy for any lost opportunity to reduce costs. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any teardown of a power windows system in Munro Live. Subsequent generations of Proton Power Windows uses the more complex and troublesome Double Bowden.
