Wider tyres have lower rolling resistance.
You cannot convert tube tyres to tubeless but I disagree.

There are many ways of doing it. Look for them in Youtube.

Their secrets, using Gorilla Tape, a higher duty cloth tape, or duct tape.

I tried just a normal cheap chinese duct tape. It appeared to work because its glue stick to the rims. I used 23mm wide rapes to make my life easy but a wider tape may be better.

I find watching this video boring but the links are userful and the linked tutorial very helpful.
