I am currently reviewing 3D MicoCFD by using the above tutorial as a guide.

It is the easiest 3D simulation that I had done. As I had expected, they took too long. 2D simulation is much faster.

I tried using GPU at medium stability, it gave error messages. Similarly with multicore. My CPU is AMD  Fx8320. GPU GTX1650S.

When I tried multicore using high stabilty, it ran for more than 12 hours and then crashed.

After editing the registry according to the help instructions, 10 step took only 22 minutes, at high stability. However there was a warning of non-convergence.

Best Free CFD Tutorial: FreeCAD Openfoam CFD Workbench

I find watching this video boring but the links are userful and the linked tutorial very helpful.
